20 Cars made the trip to the Central Coast to participate in the inaugural even at Santa Maria Raceway. The weather for over 30 degrees cooler than the valley which made this a win win. A great crowd was on hand to watch Visalia’s Blake Robertson take the win after starting in the 11th position. But the story of this race was watching pole sitter Vaughn Schott race his way through the field after being involved in an early race caution. The 67 crew changed the damaged wheel and tire and watched their driver work from the back to an impressive 3rd place finish. The next event is Saturday August 13th at Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford! Come...
Bakersfield Speedway has proven to be one of the raciest tracks for the Racesavers. Always putting on thrilling action. Tope 5 were Blake Robertson, Chris Ennis, Matthew Moles, Mike Schott and 2015 Champ Jesse Mack. The next race is Saturday June 25 at Keller Auto Speedway which is a full night of open wheel action with Western Racesavers, USAC Midgets and USAC Sprints!
There was a tight points battle going into the final weekend of racing. Jesse Mack and Monty Ferriera battled all season. Mack stayed Mr. Consistent and put down two top 5 finishes Friday and Saturday to wrap up the inaugural Western Racesaver Sprint Series Championship. In the first year there were 6 different winners. And multiple changes in top 5 finishes. We had 16 competitors in just our first full season. 2016 is looking to be a great season already. Thank you to everyone for believing in our series and supporting us.
