WRS Invades Keller Auto Speedway Saturday!

The WRS Sprints make it 6 in a row and look to wrap up this mini streak Saturday at one of their Home Tracks, Keller Auto Speedway! Grant Duinkerken takes his points lead into the super wide oval to battle with last years champ George Tristao and the rest of the WRS Field.  Will the old vet, Blake Robertson show up to steal the show???

Duinkerken Scores First Win!

2017 National Rookie of the Year Grant Duinkerken scored his first win!  He dominated the main by leading the last 23 laps.  Albert Pombo finished second and 15 year old Brooklyn “Pretty” Holland finished 3rd.  Next even is Saturday 4/7 at Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford. 

MERCED SPEEDWAY HOST OPENER 3/31

The Season opener is now moved to Merced Speedway on Saturday March 31st. Ed Parker and his team have worked hard to bring Merced to one of the best dirt racing destinations on the West Coast.  Come out and see exciting Wing Sprint Car racing. 

2018 Opens in Bakersfield 3/3

The race season is coming quick. Saturday March 3rd the WRS Wing Sprints will headline Bakersfield Speedways opening night!  The series has shown great growth over the past two seasons and the action will be more fierce. 

2018 Tentative Schedule Released

After a short break the staff at WRS have built a schedule that is gonna provide great racing all around the state. Check it out on the schedule page

WRS heads to Marysville 10/28

Marysville Raceway will introduce Racesavers in 2018. WRS is putting on a special event on 10/28 to showcase the new class for Northern California.  Come out and support one of the last races of 2017.

Championship decided by .001 second!

With just a one point advantage separating Grant Duinkerken from George Tristao Jr, the pressure was on both drivers… After qualifying 1 and 2 the pair of potential champs started side by side (5th and 6th) for the final 25 lap main of the point season. Duinkerken jumped out ahead of Tristao early. Tristao made a bold move to pass Duinkerken, but tangled with another car and spun almost to a stop and somehow kept it moving only losing...

Santa Maria 9/16

WRS heads to the coast for the final time in 2017. Just three points separate the top two leader George Tristao Jr. And second place Grant Duinkerken. Duinkerken is also sitting atop the National Rookie of the year points with just two weekends of racing remaining.

Point Leader George Tristao Jr piloted his 23t to victory lane in Bakersfield Speedway to extend his points lead. Race to support a great cause 8/5 Bakersfield Speedway

3 time winner Monty Ferreira had been supporting Second Star To The Right (SSTTR), an organization that supports the children and families battling cancer. WRS INVADES BAKERSFIELD 7/15 WITH NEW POINT LEADER

Saturdays race will include a new point leader, Monty Ferreira! With three wins and a second place finish in the past 4 races, Ferreira snuck by George Tristao by just a single point!  Tanner Boul will be coming off his second win of the year and hopes to mix the points up just a little more! WRS SPRINTS INVADE MERCED SATURDAY NIGHT

This Saturday (7/8/17) the Winged Warriors of the WRS Sprint Series invade Ed Parkers Merced Speedway.  Merced has been the home of some very exciting racing in 2017 and the second showing of the WRS should add to that. George Tristao Jr. will battle to hold off the challenge of Monty Ferriera who has won three straight and has shrunk the points lead to just 4 points!

Ferreira Wins THird in a Row at Santa Maria

The WRS Sprints went to Santa Maria Speedway Saturday (6/24) to escape the heat and put on a show for the coastal fans.  Monty Ferriera was quick time and heat two winner George Tristao Jr. pulled a zero for the main event invert placing Monty on the pole of the 25 lap main event. Monty went on to win his third main in a row followed by Zane Blanchard and Vaughn Schott.  The win moved Ferreira into second place,...
